Kruger National Park

8 minutes’ drive from us

The Phabeni gate into Kruger National Park is a mere 9km away (about 8 minutes’ drive) from our establishment. If you dream of seeing Africa’s iconic wildlife in their natural habitat, Kruger National Park is the place for you. This massive park, spanning nearly 20,000 square kilometers, is home to lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, and many more species. You can explore the park by self-driving, joining a guided safari while staying at Sand River Cottages. You can also learn about the rich human history of the region, dating back to prehistoric times, at the Letaba Elephant Museum or the Albasini Ruins. Whether you want to experience the thrill of spotting a leopard in the bush, or relax in a pool overlooking a waterhole, Kruger National Park has something for everyone.
